Big second half leads Hudson boys lacrosse team past Chagrin Falls

The Hudson boys lacrosse team won its fourth consecutive game after posting a 15-7 victory over Chagrin Falls April 29 at Hudson Memorial Stadium.

With the win, the Explorers improved to 7-3 on the season. The Tigers fell to 8-1.

Hudson's defense, led by Logan Malson, surrendered just one goal in the second half. The Explorers, who led 8-2 early in the second quarter, had just a 9-6 advantage at halftime.

Hudson outscored Chagrin Falls 4-0 in the third period and never looked back.

Mick Mougey led the Explorers with six goals.

Bo Lori finished with three goals and three assists and Gabe Vehar had three goals and one assist for Hudson.

Zach Nye, Grant Elffers and Cameron Haggerty scored one goal apiece for the Explorers, who outshot Chagrin Falls 47-33.

Dan Brady also had an assist and Chris Motter led the team with nine ground balls. Mougey added seven ground balls and Malson finished with five ground balls.

The Explorers had a 16-9 advantage on face-offs.

Hudson goalkeeper Jake Krone made nine saves and Chagrin Falls' keeper Jackson Markley had 13 saves.
