The Hudson boys lacrosse team improved to 5-3 on the season after posting a commanding 20-7 victory over Hoover April 23 in North Canton.
The Explorers outscored the Vikings (7-2) 10-1 in the first quarter and never looked back.
Bo Lori shared the game ball with seven goals and three assists.
Brent Zubal had four goals to also share game-ball honors.
Gabe Vehar also had four goals and Mick Mougey finished with two goals and four assists. Sam Gregory earned the game ball for winning two draws.
Also contributing on offense for Hudson were Zach Nye (one goal and three assists), Matt Rightnour (one goal and one assist), Kyle Ator (one goal) and Reid Robinson (one assist).
Hudson goalkeepers Jake Krone and Spencer Kline made seven and three saves, respectively, between the pipes.
"Defensively, we played aggressively and took control of the game early," Explorers head coach David Blue said.
Hudson outshot Hoover 39-29 and had a 44-25 advantage in ground balls. Chris Motter led the Explorers with 12 ground balls. Hudson also won 21 of 30 face-offs.
The Explorers' junior varsity team improved to 5-1 with an 8-7 win over the Vikings.
The varsity squad was scheduled to host Dublin Coffman April 25 at Hudson Memorial Stadium. Results were not available at press time.
Hudson is set to entertain Chagrin Falls April 29 at 7 p.m.
