The host Hudson baseball team improved to 13-1 after earning a pair of victories over Nordonia April 26 at The Ballpark at Hudson.
The Explorers posted an 11-1 win in the second game and a 10-7 victory in the first game.
In the second game, the Explorers scored seven runs in the second inning to take control. The game was called after 4-1/2 innings due to the 10-run mercy rule.
Hudson finished with 12 hits and one error. The Knights (6-11) had six hits and zero errors.
Jared Hoffman got the win on the mound to improve to 4-0. He finished with seven strikeouts in five innings of work.
Joey Cahill had three hits, four runs batted in and a run scored and Dan Joseph drove in two runs for the Explorers.
Kevin Zullo added a double, two RBIs and a run scored for Hudson.
In the first game, the Explorers were down 5-0 heading into the bottom of the third.
But Hudson stormed back with six runs in the fifth to take an 8-5 lead.
The Explorers finished with eight hits and no errors. Nordonia had seven hits and four errors.
Jacob McKenzie got his first win of the season for Hudson. He pitched the final 4-2/3 innings of the game.
Sam Evans led the Explorers with three hits, including a triple, three RBIs and two runs scored.
Cahill added a double, two stolen bases and a run scored and Ian Swan had a double, two runs scored and an RBI.
Hudson earned an 11-1 win in the junior varsity contest.
