Hudson boys track and field team places sixth at Warrior Relays

The Hudson boys track and field team finished sixth with 68.5 points at the 12-team Walsh Jesuit Warrior Relays in Cuyahoga Falls.

Solon won the competition with 160 points and Stow-Munroe Falls (100.5) and Toledo St. John's (90) placed second and third, respectively.

The following Explorers finished in the top eight:

* Shot put: John Brandon, seventh, 42 feet, 8 inches

• Discus: Brandon, first, 159-9

• Long jump: Logan Thomas, third, 19-5; and Thomas Bevan, sixth, 18-9.75

• High jump: Thomas, tied for first, 5-10

• 3,200-meter relay: Connor Sinko, Gavin Gaynor, Michael Spaans and Kyle Mau, first, 8 minutes, 16.4 seconds

• 100: Bevan, sixth, 11.91

• 1,600: Mau, first, 4:31.12

• Distance medley: Andrew Bitter, Michael Rossi, Matt Stevenot and Blake Roberts, sixth, 11:54.65

• 400 relay: Bevan, Brian Shawd, Billy Friend and Jake Gamertsfelder, seventh, 46.75

• 400: Marty McDonald, third, 53.68

• 800: Gaynor, first, 1:59.35

• 1,600 relay: Adam Green, Gamertsfelder, Matthew Gold and McDonald, seventh, 3:41.73
