Western Reserve Academy baseball team sweeps doubleheader

The host Western Reserve Academy baseball team earned a pair of wins April 12.

The Pioneers scored a 7-2 victory over Conneaut and an 8-1 win over Willoughby Hills Cornerstone Christian Academy.

Against Conneaut, Hudson resident Jack McKenzie had a double and scored two runs. Ethan Troyer and Joey Mylott combined for five strikeouts and just one walk on the mound.

Hudson resident Connor Semple allowed just two hits six innings against CCA. Patrick Mylott finished with three hits for Reserve (3-0).
