Hudson baseball team improves to 7-0


The Hudson baseball team earned a 5-0 victory over Avon April 12 All-Pro Freight Stadium in Avon.

With the win, the Explorers improved to 7-0. Avon fell to 5-3.

Hudson scored three runs in the second inning and two more in the third. The Explorers finished with five hits and no errors.

Avon had four hits and two errors.

Pete MacKay (1-0) got the win on the mound with four innings of work. Relievers KJ Tench and Jacob McKenzie allowed just one base runner in the final three innings.

Dan Joseph had two singles and reached base four times. He also had two stolen bases.
