Chagrin Falls holds off Hudson girls lacrosse team in overtime

The Hudson girls lacrosse team fell to 1-1 after losing a 14-13 decision to Chagrin Falls in overtime April 5 on the road.

"It was a total heartbreaker," Lady Explorers head coach Joya Mitchell said. "The girls played hard."

Annie Lori led Hudson with six goals and Jackie Kisthardt had three goals.

Jackie Kisthardt scored two goals and forced five turnovers for the Lady Explorers.

Also scoring one goal apiece for Hudson were Katelyn Hill and Kiley Merrill, who added five assists. Julia Finkenthal added an assist for the Lady Explorers.

Hudson goalkeeper Sarah Price made 11 saves.

The Lady Explorers were down a player after being whistled for a yellow card with 49 seconds left in regulation.

Hudson was scheduled to visit Massillon Jackson April 8. Results were not available at press time.

The Lady Explorers are set to visit Green April 10 at 5:30 p.m. and Cincinnati Sycamore April 11 at 7:30 p.m.

Hudson is scheduled to take part in the Hannigan Galipault Tournament April 12 at Thomas Worthington High School in Columbus.

The Lady Explorers are set to play Dublin Coffman at noon and Mariemont at 2 p.m.
