Finally, everything came together for the Hudson boys lacrosse team.
The host Explorers picked up their first win of the season after posting an 18-8 victory over North Allegheny (Pa.) April 5 at Hudson Memorial Stadium.
With the win, Hudson improved to 1-2 on the season. The Tigers dropped to 2-2.
The Explorers, who scored a total of just seven goals in their first two games, outscored North Allegheny 14-5 in the second half.
Hudson scored 12 goals in the last 19 minutes after the Tigers cut the Explorers' advantage to one (6-5).
Bo Lori led Hudson with five goals and one assist and Mick Mougey had three goals and two assists.
Sam Gregory added three goals and Zach Nye finished with one goal and three assists for the Explorers.
Also contributing for Hudson were Michael Charlton (one goal and one assist), Gabe Vehar (one goal and one assist), Matt Rightnour (one goal), Brent Zubal (one goal), Grant Elffers (one goal), Kyle Ator (one goal), Cameron Haggerty (one assist) and Nathan Menendez (one assist).
Alec McGovern led North Allegheny with three goals and Kyle Rullan and Nick Koebley each had two goals for the Tigers.
Ricky Fedell also scored once for North Allegheny.
The Explorers forced a number of turnovers and got a number of saves from goalkeeper Jake Krone. Hudson won 14 of 30 face-offs.
