Hudson girls lacrosse rallies to defeat Magnificat

The host Hudson girls lacrosse team made a stellar debut April 1 at Hudson Memorial Stadium.

The Lady Explorers rallied from a 3-0 deficit to earn an 8-6 victory over Rocky River Magnificat in their season debut.

With the game tied at six, Jackie Kisthardt beat two Lady Blue Streak defenders to a loose ball.

All Kisthardt had was Magnificat goalkeeper Olivia Stafford in front of her and Kisthardt put a shot past Stafford to give Hudson a 7-6 lead with 1 minute, 17 seconds left.

Olivia Wamelink forced a turnover deep in the Lady Explorers' end with 50 seconds left and Annie Lori sealed the deal when she scored with 3 seconds remaining.

Kisthardt finished with four goals for Hudson. Maria Russell added two goals and Maddie Murphy also scored.
