Hudson gymnasts place second at Valley Division meet

The Hudson gymnastics team finished second with 140.3 points at the six-team Northeast Ohio Conference Valley Division meet Feb. 1 at Medina High School.

Mentor won the competition with a score of 143 points. Strongsville took third with 139.4 points.

Jenni Spencer earned All-NOC Valley Division honors by placing second on vault with a score of 9.25 for the Lady Explorers

Also contributing on vault for Hudson were Megan Urbanic (9), Jordan Miller (8.5) and Katie Goosmann (8.25).

Macy Lori earned All-Valley Division recognition on bars with a fourth-place score of 8.9.

Rounding out the scoring for the Lady Explorers were Mackenzie Miller (8.75), Jordan Miller (8.6) and Goosman (8.55).

Urbanic placed fifth with a score of 8.8 on the balance beam. Mackenzie Miller took sixth (8.75). Lori scored an 8.7 and Riley Skinner posted a score of 8.5.

Mackenzie Miller earned All-Valley Division honors by placing fourth on the floor exercise (9.2).

Skinner finished fifth 9.15 and Urbanic (8.75) and Spencer (8.65) also contributed.
