Hudson girls bowlers beat Brush

The Hudson girls bowling team earned a 1,971-1,642 victory over Northeast Ohio Conference rival Brush Jan. 22 at the Sto-Kent Family Entertainment Center in Stow.

Geneva Liljestrand led the Lady Explorers with scores of 202 and 161, respectively.

Also competing for Hudson were Angela Piazza (122 and 208), Ashley Reed (169 and 150), Autumn Stanonik (146 and 155) and Jackie Smith (115 and 142).

The boys team lost a 2,514-2,452 decision.

Philip Rust led the Explorers with scores of 246 and 206.

Also competing for Hudson were Taylor Turrin (214 and 202), Bobby Shanks (191 and 176), Derek Moran (191 and 175), Hunter McCollough (163) and Nich Brumbaugh (158).

The Explorers also scored a 1,669-1,553 win in the junior varsity boys match.

Blake Mitchell had the high game (157) for Hudson.
