Cuyahoga Falls rolls past Hudson boys basketball team

The host Hudson boys basketball team lost a 68-55 decision to Cuyahoga Falls Jan. 10 at Ray "Buck" Hyser Gymnasium.

With the loss, the Explorers fell to 5-4 overall and 1-3 in the Northeast Ohio Conference River Division. The Black Tigers improved to 7-2 overall and 4-0 in the division.

Falls made 10 three-pointers on the evening and shot 63 percent from the floor.

Jay Slone led the Black Tigers with 20 points and Josh Ricker added 17 points.

Also scoring in double digits for Falls were Angelo Cugini (14) and Tyler Adams (11).

Kevin Zullo led Hudson with nine points and John Zuccaro, Mitch Guadagni and Chris Koscho each had eight points for the Explorers.

Hudson earned a 36-24 victory in the junior varsity contest.
