Hudson wrestling's trip to the 39th annual Medina Invitational Tournament yielded two individual placers and a ton of experience for the Explorers against top-level competition.

Hudson finished 20th at the MIT Dec. 28 with 56.5 points. Massillon Perry won the team title with 233 points, while Lakewood St. Edward was second with 200.

Hudson's top finisher at the MIT was senior 160-pounder Michael Coleman. Coleman was given the top seed at 160 and reached the final with a pin and two decisions.

In the final, Coleman tangled with Perry's Tony Dailey and lost 5-2.

Hudson also had sophomore 132-pounder Chris Motter finish sixth.
