The host Hudson girls basketball team improved to 4-3 on the season after earning a lopsided 79-40 victory over Northeast Ohio Conference rival Brush Dec. 18 at Ray "Buck" Hyser Gymnasium.
The Lady Explorers led from start to finsh and were up 42-18 at halftime.
A total of 11 players scored at least one point for Hudson. Ava Cristofoli led the Lady Explorers with 15 points and Krissy Mummey and Jackie Ulmer added 13 and 12 points, respectively, for Hudson.
The Lady Explorers, who have won three straight games, made 34 field goals and forced 25 turnovers. The only down side for Hudson was the Lady Explorers made just 10 of 29 foul shots.
The Arcs (2-6) finished 8 of 27 and made just 14 field goals.
Hudson earned a 52-18 win in the junior varsity contest to improve to 5-3. The JV team has now won five in a row.
Morgan Ludewig led the Lady Explorers with 15 points and Erin Torrence and Elle Marquez added 13 and 10 points, respectively, for Hudson.
