Hudson boys hoops team suffers first loss

The Hudson boys basketball team fell to 2-1 overall and 0-1 in the Northeast Ohio Conference River Division after losing a 41-33 decision to Stow-Munroe Falls Dec. 13 at Stow-Munroe Falls High School's James G. Tyree Gymnasium.

The Bulldogs (3-2, 1-1) trailed 19-14 at halftime. Stow made 13 of 14 foul shots in the final quarter to ice the win.

Matt Beech led the Bulldogs with a game-high 17 points and Jacob Williams added 10 for Stow.

Brendan Burdett led the Explorers with 15 points.

Hudson earned a 36-28 victory in the junior varsity contest.
