Hudson bowlers fall just short against Brunswick


The host Hudson bowling teams lost very close matches to Northeast Ohio Conference rival Brunswick Dec. 9 at Sto-Kent Family Entertainment in Stow.

The boys fell to 0-6 after losing a 2,593-2,495 decision and the girls fell to 3-3 after losing a 1,831-1,715 decision.

The boys were led by Bobby Shanks, who rolled a career-best 261. He also bowled a score of 199.

Also faring well for the Hudson boys were Taylor Turrin (201-209) and Harry Pappas (193).

Angela Piazza (224-158) led the girls and Geneva Liljestrand (155-130) and Ashley Reed (144-93) were next for Hudson.

The Hudson junior varsity boys lost a 2,543-1,755 decision.

Jacob Harris led the way with scores of 156 and 137, respectively.
