Hudson swimmers and divers fare well at Ned Reeb Invitational


The Hudson swimming and diving teams competed at the Ned Reeb Invitational Dec. 7 at The Ohio State University in Columbus.

The boys tied Solon for fourth place out of 44 teams with 199 points and the girls finished sixth out of 46 teams with 167 points.

Cincinnati St. Xavier easily won the boys' competition with 485 points and Toledo St. Francis DeSales took second with 227 points. Upper Arlington finished third (217).

Upper Arlington took first in the girls' competition with 488 points and Granville (273) and Walsh Jesuit (203) finished second and third, respectively.

• 200-yard medley relay: Doni Moffa, Ross Palazzo, Brendon Mulcahey and Ryan Johnson, eighth, 1 minute, 41.03 seconds

• 200 freestyle: Palazzo, second, 1:42.91

• 50 freestyle: Mulcahey, eighth, 22.16

• Diving: Alex Obendorf, third, 477.95

• 100 butterfly: Palazzo, ninth, 55.6

• 200 freestyle relay: Palazzo, Cole Clampffer, Peyton Brown and Mulcahey, second, 1:27.55

• 400 freestyle relay: Clampffer, Brown, Johnson and Mulcahey, sixth, 3:19.84


• 200 freestyle: Stephanie Boyd, eighth, 2:00.31

• 200 individual medley: Paige Kelly, seventh, 2:12.91

• 500 freestyle: Kelly, fifth, 5:12.77; and Sarah Wolanske, eighth, 5:23.1

• 200 freestyle relay: Jillian Saccogna, Kelly, Macy Trattner and Caitlin Weigel, seventh, 1:40.8

• 400 freestyle relay: Saccogna, Boyd, Natalie Gundling and Kelly, eighth, 3:43.46
