The Western Reserve Academy ice hockey team earned a 4-0 victory over Twinsburg Dec. 1 to win the Nordonia Thanksgiving Tournament at Gilmour Academy in Gates Mills.

The Pioneers (4-2) won this tournament for the first time time. Reserve has participated in this tournament for the last four years.

Otto Bohan, Alec Rhodes, Sam LaFontaine, a Hudson resident, and Cory Wepler each scored once for WRA, which kept pressure on the Tigers throughout the game.

The Pioneers did not score until the 10-minute mark of the second period. Reserve goaltender Christian Ciraco had 24 saves in the nets.
