Duo plays lacrosse

Hudson residents Mallory Vehar and Kelsey Greissing recently played against each other at the Melting Pot Lacrosse Fall Tournament at Harvard University (Mass.).

Vehar is a junior defender at Syracuse University (N.Y.) and Greissing a senior defender at Bryant University (R.I.).

Monsters win title

The Stow Monsters baseball team, which featured several Hudson residents, was the co-champion of the Stow Youth Baseball Fall G-League Maroon Division.

Following their 11-1 regular season, the Monsters battled the 11-1 Hudson Fury in the league championship. Tied 3-3, the game was called due to darkness.

Sports camp offered

A Winterfest Sports Camp for children in grades kindergarten to fifth is set to be offered by Jump Start Sports on Dec. 23, 26-28 and Jan. 2-3. It will be at Pinnacle, 9550 Ravenna Road in Twinsburg.

A full day runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and a half day from 9 a.m. to noon or noon to 3 p.m. Costs are $40 for any one day, $35 a day for three or more days and $180 for all six days. Before and after camp care is available from 8 to 9 a.m. and 3 to 5:30 p.m. Before camp cost is $5 per day and after camp is $15 a day.
