The Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy boys cross country team placed third with 60 points at a nine-team Division II district meet Oct. 19 at Goodyear Metro Park in Akron.
Akron St. Vincent-St. Mary won the meet with 44 points. Also advancing to the regional competition were Woodridge (59) and Field (69).
CVCA's Ryan Adams, a Hudson resident, placed first out of 69 runners with a time of 16 minutes, 41.54 seconds. Teammate Ben Bockoven of Hudson finished second (17:11.43).
Hudson resident Luke Mazanec of CVCA placed 24th (18:21.17).
The CVCA girls placed third with 82 points. St. V won with 29 points and Woodridge finished second with 39 points. Field placed fourth (90).
CVCA's Sammy Bockoven of Hudson finished fourth (19:57.56). A total of 67 runners competed.
