The Hudson volleyball team won its second consecutive Northeast Ohio Conference Lake Division title Oct. 10.
The Lady Explorers earned a 25-22, 24-26, 25-16, 25-19 victory over Twinsburg on the road.
With the win, Hudson concluded the regular season with a 16-6 record and a 9-1 mark in the Lake Division. Mentor, which beat Mayfield in its regular-season finale, also finished 9-1 in the Lake Division.
The Lady Explorers shared the Lake Division championship with Stow-Munroe Falls in 2012.
"It felt great to end our regular season on a good note by winning the NOC Lake Division title," Hudson head coach Jessica Ciborek said. "That was one of our goals and I'm proud of the girls for getting the job done. We have a ton of work to do to prepare for postseason play, but we are extremely excited."
Krissy Mummey led the Lady Explorers with 17 kills and five blocks and Jordan Mackay added 16 kills and two blocks.
Also contributing for Hudson were Sarah Young (24 digs), Amanda Przybocki (46 assists) and Alyssa DiSandis (21 service points, including one ace).
Mummey recently was named the NOC Lake Division Most Valuable Player. Mackay, Celia Cristofoli and Sarah Young were named to the All-NOC Lake Division team and Gina Holland and Amanda Przybocki received honorable mention.
The Lady Explorers are the top seed in the Stow-Munroe Falls Division I sectional-district tournament. They are scheduled to play the Nordonia-Youngstown East winner in a sectional title contest Oct. 19 at 1 p.m.
