The Lady Explorers (11-2) had an 8-5 advantage in shots on goal. The two teams finished with five penalty corners.
"Magnificat had a couple of solid players," Hudson head coach Jen Haney said. "They're a good team and you have to come prepared against them."
The Lady Explorers were scheduled to entertain Western Reserve Academy Oct. 12 at Scott Malson Field. Results were not available at press time.
Hudson earned the second seed in the Gates Mills Division I district tournament.
The Lady Explorers are scheduled to host the Stow-Munroe Falls-Shaker Heights Laurel winner in a district final match Oct. 18 at Scott Malson Field. Game time is set for 4 p.m. Hudson beat both Stow and Laurel earlier in the season.
Shaker Heights, which handed Hudson a 4-1 loss earlier in the season, got the top seed and Magnificat and Toledo Maumee Valley Country Day received the third and fourth seeds, respectively.
"Right now, I'm taking it on a game-by-game basis," Haney said. "In the tournament, everyone is going to be better. Stow is going to be better and Laurel is going to be better."
