The Hudson boys cross country team placed fourth with 79 points at the six-team Northeast Ohio Conference Valley Division Meet Oct. 12 at Garfield Park in Mentor.
Solon won the competition with 53 points to edge out Mentor, which had 54 points. Strongsville placed third with 73 points.
Kyle Mau led the Explorers with a first-place time of 15 minutes, 28.71 seconds.
Solon's Kevin Blank placed second (15:48.68) and Hudson's Gavin Gaynor took third (16:09.91).
Rounding out the top five for the Explorers were Matthew Hallgarth (16th, 16:58.5), Blake Roberts (29th, 17:25.19) and Matthew Stevenot (30th, 17:27.72).
