The Hudson girls tennis team had three players advance to Division I district play after their performances at a sectional tournament Oct. 4 in Medina.
Kati Mdzinarishvili posted a 6-0, 6-0 win over Strongsville's Kelly Peskura in her quarterfinal match. With the victory, Mdzinarishvili is scheduled to play for one of the top four seeds Oct. 5. She is set to play Walsh Jesuit's Molly Sandberg, a Hudson resident, in the semifinals. Sandberg advanced with a 6-0, 6-0 win over Copley's Rachel Hopkins.
The Lady Explorers' first doubles' team of Connie Chen and Grace Graham reached the semifinals with a 7-5, 6-3 win over a team from Wooster.
Hudson's Vanessa Kreiss and Sujude Dalieh did not advance to district play after losing a 6-2, 6-1 decision to a team from Walsh in the quarterfinals.
