The host Western Reserve Academy girls soccer team fell to 5-5-3 on the season after losing a 2-0 decision to Hawken (Gates Mills) Sept. 28.
Hawken (7-0-4) had a 22-2 advantage in shots on goal and a 7-2 edge in corner kicks. Lady Pioneers' goalkeeper Maria Paparella finished with 11 saves in the nets.
Host Reserve improved to 3-0 in the Tri-County League with a 6-1 victory over Lake Center Christian (Hartville) Sept. 26.
Rylee Nelsen had one goal and one assist for WRA and Hannah Saucier, Annie McArn, Vanessa Eicher, Tricia Cunningham and Amanda Sudilovsky each had one goal for the Lady Pioneers.
Zoe McCormick had three assists and Allison Hickox added one assist. Reserve goalkeeper Catherine Berry made three saves.
WRA is scheduled to entertain Akron Our Lady of the Elms Oct. 2 at 4:30 p.m. The Lady Pioneers are set to host Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy Oct. 5 at 3:30 p.m.
