The Hudson field hockey team won its seventh consecutive match Sept. 28.
The Lady Explorers improved to 8-2 overall with a 3-1 victory over North Allegheny (Pa.) at Hudson Memorial Stadium.
The Tigers (8-4) got on the board first when Bree Monnin scored on a Kailey Vogl assist with 13 minutes, 10 seconds remaining in the first half.
Hudson came right back.
Maria Russell scored the first of her three goals less than two minutes later. Kiley Merrill had the assist.
Russell gave the Lady Explorers the lead for good at 2-1 when she received a pass from Ashley McLelland and finished with 9:13 remaining in the half.
She added her third goal less than 10 minutes into the second half.
Hudson had an 8-5 advantage in shots on goal. North Allegheny had a 5-3 edge in penalty corners.
Tigers' goalkeeper Maria Mendenhall, who entered the game in the second half, finished with four saves. Lady Explorers keeper Jackie Kisthardt had two saves.
