The Western Reserve Academy girls cross country team placed seventh with 186 points in the 12-team Division III race of the Bob Reall Lancaster Invitational Sept. 21.
Mount Gilead won the invitational with 61 points and Columbus Academy took second after winning a tiebreaker with Caldwell. Both teams scored 73 points.
Newark Catholic's Mary Richardson placed first out of 86 runners with a time of 20 minutes, 1.5 seconds.
Elizabeth Downing led the Lady Pioneers with a 25th-place time of 22:40.7. Katherine Zandee was next for Reserve with a 29th-place clocking of 23:04.5.
Rounding out the top five for WRA were Ji Anne King (42nd, 24:06.7), Nina Tekelenburg (51st, 24:41.9) and Anna Ballard (42nd, 24:47.1).
Also running for the Lady Pioneers was Halle Sovich (58th, 25:14.8).
Reserve is scheduled to run at the Gilmour Invitational Sept. 27 in Gates Mills. The race is set to begin at 5 p.m.
