The Hudson boys soccer team won its second straight game after posting a 2-0 victory over Northeast Ohio Conference rival Stow-Munroe Falls Sept. 14 on the road.
With the win, the Explorers improved to 5-3-1. The Bulldogs dropped to 3-4-1.
Hudson scored both of its goals in the second half.
The Explorers were able to make it 1-0 after Trevor Colazzo was tripped in Stow's penalty box. Jack Sullivan blasted home the penalty kick with 31 minutes, 44 seconds left.
Cody VanDoninck scored the second goal off a turnover with 13:37 remaining. VanDoninck got the ball in the box after Colazzo made a nifty backward pass to him. VanDoninck ripped the shot into the net from point-blank range.
The Bulldogs had two really good chances to get on the scoreboard in the second half.
Robert Anderson got free near Hudson's goal and unleashed a hard low liner with his left foot. But the shot went just inches wide.
Stow's Logan Morris also had a shot hit the post.
The Explorers had a 5-1 advantage in shots on goal. The Bulldogs had a 4-2 edge in corner kicks.
