The Western Reserve Academy boys soccer team suffered its first loss of the season Sept. 11.
The host Pioneers, who recently were ranked third in the Ohio Scholastic Soccer Coaches Association Division III state poll, lost a 1-0 decision to Walsh Jesuit.
Hudson resident Ben Thompson scored the lone goal with 12 minutes, 53 seconds remaining in the first half.
Walsh (2-4-2) had a 6-5 advantage in shots on goal and a 4-3 edge in corner kicks. Reserve goalkeeper Joe Blanda made four saves. Walsh keeper Cameron Keefe stopped five shots.
