The Hudson girls soccer team improved to 4-0 on the season with a 2-0 victory over Massillon Jackson Aug. 31 at Hudson Memorial Stadium.
The Lady Explorers got two first-half goals from Alexandra Wright. She scored her first goal on a header off a corner kick from Kate Waters with 29 minutes, 57 seconds left.
She scored her second goal at the 4:12 mark when she received a pass from Alyssa Pamer, beat a defender then put a low shot into the net with the outside of her right foot.
Hudson controlled possession for much of the game and had a 6-2 advantage in shots on goal and an 8-3 advantage on corner kicks.
Lady Explorers goalkeeper Sarah L'Hommedieu had two saves and Lady Polar Bears keeper Katie Kingsbury made two saves. Jackson fell to 4-1 in 2013.
