The Hudson girls golf team finished ninth with a score of 343 at the 20-team Walsh Jesuit Invitational Aug. 26 at Ohio Prestwick Country Club in Canton.
Massillon Jackson won the competition with a 294 and Dublin Jerome (300) and Kent Roosevelt (319) finished second and third, respectively.
Jackson's Landrie Grace earned medalist honors with a 68. Julia Goodson led the Lady Explorers with an 84. Also playing for Hudson were Meredith Spitz (85), Nicole Goodson (87) and Victoria Bartos (87).
Spitz had her personal-best score by four strokes.
Bartos topped her best score by 10 strokes.
The Lady Explorers placed ninth with a score of 353 at the 16-team Midwest Classic Aug. 24 at Skyland Pines Golf Course in Canton.
Massillon Jackson beat Dublin Jerome on a tiebreaker. Both teams shot a score of 318. Toledo St. Ursula placed third with a 321.
Kent Roosevelt's Kasey Nielsen earned medalist honors with a 73.
Moe Madar led Hudson with an 86. Madar's score was a personal best by four strokes.
Nicole Goodson was next for the Explorers with an 87 and Spitz and Julia Goodson each carded a 90.
Hudson was scheduled to visit North Northeast Ohio Conference Valley Division rival Royalton Aug. 27. Results were not available at press time.
The Lady Explorers are set to host Valley Division foe Strongsville Aug. 28 and a quad meet with Solon, Walsh Jesuit and Shaker Heights Hathaway Brown Sept. 3.
Both matches are scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m. at Lake Forest Country Club.
