The Hudson boys cross country team placed fifth with 147 points at the 18-team 2013 GlenOak Golden Eagle XC Invitational Aug. 24 in Canton.
Boardman won the competition with 72 points to narrowly beat Louisville (74). Rounding out the top four were GlenOak (114) and Solon (135).
Boardman's Mark Hadley won the race with a time of 15 minutes, 36.1 seconds. A total of 145 runners competed.
Kyle Mau led the Explorers with a second-place time of 15:49.2. Mau's teammate, Gavin Gaynor, finished 10th (16:35.9).
Rounding out the top seven for Hudson were Matthew Hallgarth (32nd, 17:25.1), Andrew Bitter (52nd, 17:45.1), Connor Sinko (53rd, 17:45.8), Blake Roberts (54th, 17:46.2) and Nick Moffitt (101st, 18:56.5).
