The host Hudson boys soccer team picked up its first win of the season after posting a convincing 6-1 victory over Green Aug. 20 at Memorial Stadium.
After the Bulldogs tied the game at one with 28 minutes, 52 seconds remaining in the first half, the Explorers scored five unanswered goals.
Jack Sullivan led Hudson with two goals and two assists and Trevor Colazzo had two goals. Matt Wallace and Chris Koscho each scored once for the Explorers (1-0-1). Michael Charlton added two assists and Chris Ito had one assist.
Hudson goalkeeper Charlie Sockol made three saves in the nets.
It was the first win for Explorers' first-year head coach Kelsey Resnick.
