The Hudson girls basketball team ended its three-game losing streak Feb. 20.

More importantly, the Lady Explorers are still alive in the Ellet Division II sectional-district tournament.

Second-seeded Hudson earned a commanding 67-35 victory over Warren Howland in a sectional semifinal contest. With the win, the Lady Explorers (18-5) earned a date with Nordonia in a sectional title game Feb. 23 at 2:45 p.m.

Last year, the Lady Tigers (11-12) scored a 54-53 win over Hudson in a district semifinal game.

It was no contest this time.

The Lady Explorers forced 11 first-quarter turnovers to take a 17-6 lead. Hudson never looked back.

Hannah Boesinger led the Lady Explorers with 15 points. She canned 9-of-12 shots from the free throw line.

Teammate Krissy Mummey scored 14 points, including 12 in the first half. Brynne Drohan added 12 points for Hudson. A total of 12 Lady Explorers scored at least two points.
