Hudson boys basketball team makes it 10 in a row

The Hudson boys basketball team won its 10 consecutive game after posting a lopsided 74-42 victory over Kent Roosevelt Feb. 19 on the road.

The Explorers (17-4) outscored the Rough Riders 36-5 in the first 13 minutes of the second half.

Zack Brandy scored a game-high 28 points for Hudson and teammate Steve Boslet added 14 points and 11 rebounds. Kevin Zullo had 11 points for the Explorers.

Myles Wright led Kent with 16 points.

WESTERN RESERVE ACADEMY HOOPS TEAM LOSES

The Western Reserve Academy boys basketball team concluded the season with a 71-63 loss to Akron Garfield Feb. 19 on the road.

Garfield took a 39-23 lead at halftime and never looked back.

Peter Barba led the Pioneers with 25 points, seven rebounds and six assists.

John Roberts and Erick Bryant added 12 and 11 points, respectively, for Reserve.
