Duo fares well at

foul shot contest

During the Hudson Kiwanis Basketball championships Feb. 9, a foul-shot contest took place.

The boys' third- and fourth-grade winners were Mack Daberko and John David Taylor.

Hudson routs Stow

The host Hudson junior varsity boys basketball team improved to 17-1 with a 41-20 victory over Stow-Munroe Falls Feb. 12 at Ray "Buck" Hyser Gymnasium.

Brendan Burdett and Ian Laver each had 10 points for the Explorers.

Pioneers win

The Western Reserve Academy boys basketball team improved to 7-8 on the season after posting a 45-36 victory over Normandy Feb. 12 in Parma Heights.

John Saucier led the Pioneers with 11 points and Erick Bryant had 10 points, five rebounds and two steals.

Peter Barba added five points, 10 assists, five rebounds and four steals for Reserve.

WRA was scheduled to visit Linsly (W. Va.) Feb. 16. Results were not available at press time.

The Pioneers are set to visit Akron Garfield in their season finale Feb. 19.

Game time is scheduled for 7 p.m.
