Hudson Drillers offers
private tryouts
The Hudson Drillers Baseball Club is offering private tryouts for the 2013 8-and-younger and 12-and-younger baseball teams.
Both teams are expected to play in a local league and compete in five or six tournaments. For details, contact Azam Qadri at HudsonDrillers@aol.com or 330-573-1032 to set up a tryout time.
Boys hoops team wins
The host Hudson junior varsity boys basketball team improved to 15-1 after earning a 46-33 victory over Brush Feb. 5 at Ray "Buck" Hyser Gymnasium.
Brendan Burdett scored nine of his team-high 11 points for the Explorers in the second half. Ian Laver added 10 points and Trevor Colazzo finished with eight points for Hudson.
