About 24 hours after earning a trip to the Division I state team tournament's regional semifinals, the Hudson wrestling team got back to business Jan. 24.
The Explorers' lineup saw them missing a couple of their starters and Brunswick took full advantage, beating Hudson 43-18 at Ray "Buck" Hyser Gymnasium.
The Explorers dropped to 11-6 overall and 3-2 in the Northeast Ohio Conference River Division. Brunswick improved to 5-0 in the River Division.
Hudson managed only five wins against Brunswick, one of which was a forfeit win by heavyweight Peter Mougey.
The other for wins came via decision. The Explorers had 126-pounder Chris Motter defeat Zach Taylor 6-0, 132-pounder Nate Gregory beat Christian Camacho 7-1, 138-pounder Brandon White beat Molnar 9-2 and 195-pounder Gabe Vehar earned a 5-0 win.
