Scores: Hudson girls basketball team routs Aurora for 11th straight win

The Hudson girls basketball team won its 11th straight game after posting a convincing 82-55 victory over Aurora Jan. 30 on the road.

The Lady Explorers outscored the Lady Greenmen 26-11 in the first quarter and never looked back.

Hannah Boesinger knocked down six three-pointers and finished with a game-high 33 points for Hudson (16-2), which was tied for eighth with Perrysburg in a recent Division I state poll. Jackie Ulmer added 16 points, including an 8-for-8 effort at the foul line. A total of 10 players scored at least two points for the Lady Explorers.

Camilla Brown led Aurora with 21 points and Erin McNamara added 12 points for the Lady Greenmen (11-5).

Hudson posted 44-29 win in the junior varsity contest.

HUDSON WRESTLERS FALL TO ST. EDWARD AT STATE TOURNAMENT

The Hudson wrestling team's run at the state tournament ended after losing a 53-12 decision to St. Edward Jan. 30 in Lakewood.

The Explorers (13-6) got wins from Billy Buehl (4-2) at 120 pounds, Chris Motter (12-6, 126) and Michael Coleman (pin, 160).

Hudson got to face St. Edward, thanks to a 43-17 victory over North Olmsted. The Explorers got pins from Ben Krizman (170), Zach Vehar (195), Gabe Vehar (220) and Pete Mougey (heavyweight).
