The Western Reserve Academy boys swimming and diving team earned a 92-78 victory over Canton Central Catholic Jan. 14 at Meyers Lake YMCA in Canton.
The girls lost a 102-68 decision.
The following Reserve swimmers and divers finished in the top three and the following WRA relays won:
Boys
• 200-yard medley relay: Kevin Ly, Jonathan Depew, John Ainikkal and Zein Alali, first, 1 minute, 48.87 seconds
• 200 freestyle: Sam Kuri, second, 2:13.15; and Max Forsythe, third, 2:18.93
• 200 individual medley: Jonathan Depew, second, 2:05.98; and Alex Balli, third, 2:47.64
• 50 freestyle: Ainikkal, second, 24.07; and Alali, third, 25.93
• 100 butterfly: Ly, first, 1:00.21
• 100 freestyle: Ainikkal, second, 53.82; and Shyam Patnaik, third, 58.3
• 200 freestyle relay: Jonathan Depew, Ly, Alali and Ainikkal, first, 1:36.8
• 100 backstroke: Ly, second, 1:05.4; and Forsythe, third, 1:07.36
• 100 breaststroke: Jonathan Depew, first, 1:06.7; and William He, third, 1:19.18
Girls
• 200 freestyle: Kathryn Babbin, first, 2:00.23
• 200 IM: Elisabeth Andersson, first, 2:27.83
• 50 freestyle: Sibel Sarac, third, 27.71
• 100 butterfly: Sensesi Lucrezia, third, 1:17.56
• 100 freestyle: Caroline Babbin, third, 1:07.78
• 500 freestyle: Kathryn Babbin, first, 5:14.8
• 200 freestyle relay: Sarac, Andersson, Emily Winson and Kathryn Babbin, first, 1:51.65
• 100 backstroke: Andersson, first, 1:09.89; and Irina Kopyeva, third, 1:28.61
• 100 breaststroke: Sarac, first, 1:19.16
Both teams were scheduled to head to Gates Mills to face Hawken Jan. 17. Results were not available at press time.
They are set to entertain Cleveland Benedictine Jan. 22 at 4:30 p.m.
