The host Hudson boys and girls swimming and diving teams earned victories over Northeast Ohio Conference Valley Division rival Mentor Jan. 11 at Ada Cooper Natatorium.
The boys posted a 130-55 win and the girls cruised to a 130-56 victory. The following Hudson swimmers and divers placed in the top three and the following Hudson relay teams won:

BOYS HOOPS SQUAD FALLS TO TWINSBURG
The host Hudson boys basketball team fell to 7-4 on the season and 2-2 in the Northeast Ohio Conference River Division after losing a 51-47 decision in overtime to Twinsburg Jan. 11 at Ray "Buck" Hyser Gymnasium.
Jalen Washington led the Tigers with a game-high 15 points. Zack Brandy had 13 points for the Explorers and Alex Mushock finished with 10 points and 15 rebounds for Hudson. Ben Gedeon also had 10 points.
The Hudson junior varsity team improved to 11-0 on the season after posting a 35-29 win over Twinsburg.
BOWLERS LOSE TO BRUNSWICK
The host Hudson boys and girls bowling teams lost to Brunswick Jan. 11 at Sto-Kent Family Entertainment.
The boys lost a 2,587-2,045 decision and the girls suffered a 1,774-1,538 loss.
Donny Campbell led the boys with scores of 177 and 198, respectively. Also faring well for the Explorers was Taylor Turrin (173-160).
Geneva Liljestrand led the girls with a high game of 177. Angela Piazza contributed scores of 165 and 142.
Hudson’s junior varsity boys lost a 2,282-1,484 decision.
Hunter McCullough (152-116) led the Explorers.
