Scores: Hudson boys basketball team rolls past Stow

The Hudson boys basketball team improved to 6-3 overall and 2-1 in the Northeast Ohio Conference River Division after posting a convincing 45-28 victory over Stow-Munroe Falls Jan. 4 in Stow.

Zack Brandy led the Explorers with a game-high 26 points. Matt Beech and Jacob Williams each had 12 points for the Bulldogs.

Hudson won all three games Jan. 4. The junior varsity team posted a 38-25 win and the freshman team posted a 49-38 victory.

WRA ice hockey squad falls

The host Western Reserve Academy ice hockey team lost a 9-7 decision to Bay Village Bay Jan. 4 at Kent State University Ice Arena.

Robert Markell led the Pioneers with four goals and Austin Rand, Alec Rhodes and Davis Johnson each had one.

Reserve goaltender Max Fausnight made 23 saves.
