Hudson ice hockey team settles for draw

The Hudson ice hockey team finished 1-2-1 after earning a 3-3 tie with Toledo St. Francis DeSales in the Walsh Jesuit Christmas Tournament, which concluded Dec. 30 at Kent State University Ice Arena.

The game was tied at 1-1 after one period and the Explorers (10-6-1) had 2-1 and 3-2 leads in the third period.

Bo Lori scored twice for Hudson and Luke McLean also found the net once. Connor Ganley and John Calabro each had one assist and Explorers' goaltender Auston Ganley made 31 saves in the nets.

Hudson finished with nine points for the tournament. Columbus St. Charles had 17 points to win the tournament. Sylvania Northview, the defending Division I state champion which is ranked No. 3 in the state, finished with 16 points and Shaker Heights had 10 points.
