Hudson boys basketball team picks up first win


The host Hudson boys basketball team earned a 68-67 victory over Northeast Ohio Conference rival Parma Dec. 7 at Hudson High School's Ray "Buck" Hyser Gymnasium.

The Explorers put away the Redmen by converting 7-of-10 free throws in the final 1 minute, 22 seconds of the game. Parma made four three-pointers in the final quarter, including three in the final 1:04.

Steven Boslet led Hudson (1-1) with 22 points. He also drained six threes. John Zuccaro added 14 points and Zack Brandy and Ben Gedeon also reached double figures with 12 and 10 points, respectively.

Anthony Schmook led the Redmen with a game-high 27 points. Schmook knocked down a game-high seven three-pointers.
