Hudson girls basketball team falls to Wadsworth

The Hudson girls basketball team dropped to 1-1 on the season after losing a convincing 58-33 decision to Wadsworth Nov. 28 at Ray “Buck” Hyser Gymnasium.
The Lady Grizzlies (2-0) jumped out to a 17-4 lead after one quarter and never looked back.
The Lady Explorers (1-1) saw two players go down with injuries. Hudson forward Hannah Boesinger suffered a concussion with 5 minutes, 50 seconds left in the first quarter.
Later in the game, guard Nicole Goodson had to leave the floor with a knee injury. Hudson also was missing Brynne Drohan, who is expected to miss four to six weeks with a knee injury.
Guard Margo Camp led the Lady Explorers with nine points and center Krissy Mummey added eight points.
A total of nine players scored for Wadsworth. Point guard Rachel Goddard led the Lady Grizzlies with a game-high 15 points and McKenzie O’Brien added 11 points.
Wadsworth also posted a 40-35 win in the junior varsity contest.
