Brown signs national
letter of intent
Hudson resident Cassidy Brown, a senior catcher on the Walsh Jesuit baseball team, signed a national letter of intent to continue his academic and baseball careers at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles Nov. 14.
Brown has earned first-team All-Ohio and North Coast Conference awards.
Last year, he batted .439 with five home runs and 31 runs batted in.

Lacrosse offered for both boys and girls
The Hudson Youth Lacrosse Association is offering skills clinics to youth boys and girls Sunday evenings from December to March.
The 90-minute clinics are set to take place at The Edge in Twinsburg and will feature coaching by college, current and former Hudson High School players and HYLAX coaches.
The clinics will feature drills and scrimmaging designed to maximize the opportunity to handle the ball. The clinics also include sessions for girls, grades three to nine and boys grades fur to eight. For details or to register, visit www.hudsonyouthlacrosse.org.

Hoops tourney scheduled to take place in Akron
The Black Friday Basketball Shootout Tournament is scheduled to take place Nov. 23 in Akron. This event is for boys and girls in fourth, fifth or sixth grades. All teams are guaranteed three games and winners will receive awards. The cost is $175.
