Malson fares well at horse shows
Jessie Malson, 21, from Hudson Equestrian Center-Bochum Farm, qualified for the Pennsylvania National Horse Show in Harrisburg, Pa. Malson, aboard Notable, finished 14th out of 30 riders last month in Pennsylvania.
The top 30 riders throughout the United States qualified through the point system.
Malson and Notable also qualified for the Washington National Horse Show at the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C. She placed 13th out of 30 riders at earlier this month at the D.C. show.
The trainer/coach is Kim Cosma Segedy. Samantha Cosma Segedy also is a trainer.
Niam leads Wofford
n Hudson graduate Mike Niam, a senior on the Wofford University (S.C.) football team, had 13 tackles during Wofford’s 16-13 overtime win over the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Nov. 10 in Spartansburg S.C.
As of press time, Niam had 42 tackles, including two for a loss, one sack, one quarterback hurry, one forced fumble, one pass breakup and one field goal blocked.

Turkey Trot scheduled
The Aurora Turkey Trot 4-mile race is scheduled to take plac Nov. 22 at 8:30 a.m. at Aurora Farms Premium Outlets.
A Mash Potato Mile run is set to start at 8 a.m. Preregistered participants can pick up their packets Nov. 21 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Suite 90 near Treichel’s Grill.
