Resident helps Tigersharks swimming squad
The Cuyahoga Falls Riverfront YMCA Tigersharks recently earned a convincing 691-203 victory over the Ashland Aqua Aces at the Cuyahoga Falls Natatorium.
Hudson resident Calvin Kampman, 10, dropped 12.32 seconds in the 100-yard freestyle (1:16.7) to finish second with a time of 1 minute, 16.7 seconds among age 9-and-10 boys.

Werner fares well for cross country team
Hudson graduate Courtney Werner, a junior on the Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania women’s cross country team, placed 64th with a season-best time of 23 minutes, 1 second at the NCAA Atlantic Regional championships recently.
Werner also finished ninth at the recent Jack Saint Clair Memorial with a 6K time of 25:03. She is an elementary education major.

Run in Cleveland
The 31st annual Cleveland Turkey Trot is scheduled to take place Nov. 22 at 9:30 a.m. at the Galleria at Erieview on East 9th Street.
