Caroline Paula Ziedonis and Christian David Jensen wed

Caroline Paula Ziedonis and Christian David Jensen, 1st Lt., USMC (HHS 2010) were united in marriage Dec. 30, 2016, at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Princeton, N.J. The bride is the daughter of Igor and Nancy Ziedonis of Princeton N.J. The bridegroom is the son of Greg and Tracy Jensen of Hudson, Ohio.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore a romantic, long-sleeved Pronovias Barcelona mermaid dress that flared out at the bottom and had gorgeous floral lace and guipure motifs all over the bodice. She wore a floral lace cathedral veil with appliques and carried a bouquet of calla lilies and white and blush roses.

Maid of Honor was Jennifer Yu, Princeton Junction, N.J., friend of the bride.

Bridesmaids were Kelly Fritz, (HHS 2006), Salt Lake City, Utah, sister of the bridegroom; Claire Wagner, Pepper Pike, Ohio, cousin of the bridegroom; and Emma Tomaszewski, Washington, D.C., friend of the bride.

Best Man was Donovan Blakney, Madison, Wis., friend of the bridegroom.

Groomsmen were Christopher Ziedonis, Washington, D.C., brother of the bride; Anthony Calabrese (HHS 2010) Hudson, Ohio, friend of the bridegroom; and 1st Lt. Ryan Hanifin, Pensacola Fla., friend of the bridegroom.

The military arch of swords detail was led by Capt. Nickolas Fritz, USMC, brother-in-law of the bridegroom. The sword detail consisted of 1st Lt. Alex Jensen, U.S. Army, cousin of the groom; 1st Lt. Brandon Rabun, USMC; 1st Lt. Jason Rosso, USMC; 1st Lt. Jameson Taylor, USMC; 1st Lt. Ryan Hanifin, USMC; and 1st Lt. Jared Smith, USMC, all friends of the bridegroom.

The holiday themed reception was held at the Nassau Inn at the entrance to Princeton University.

Special guests included Zenta Ziedonis, grandmother of the bride, Dave & Doty Parsons and Don & Mary Jensen, grandparents of the bridegroom.

The bride is a 2011 graduate of West Windsor Plainsboro High School in Princeton Junction, N.J. and received her bachelor's degree in statistics from George Washington University in Washington, D.C. The groom is a 2010 graduate of Hudson High School and a 2014 graduate of Miami University where he earned a bachelor's degree in accounting and was commissioned a Marine lieutenant. The bridegroom is the communications officer for 1st Tank Battalion, 1st Marine Division. The couple honeymooned in Catalina Island, Cal., and now reside near the Marine Corps base in Twentynine Palms, Cal., with their dog, Bean.
