Every Thursday through Sept. 28 the Household Hazardous Waste Recycling Center (HHWRC) will be open from 2 to 7 p.m. The HHWRC, located at 1201 Graham Road in Stow just off of state Route 8, is for Summit County residents only. No business, school or other non-residential waste is accepted.

CUYAHOGA FALLS, OH— From May 1-8, Summit Educational Service Center (ESC) participated in Akron Children’s Hospital’s cereal drive, Breakfast Doesn’t Take a Summer Vacation. Through Summit ESC’s efforts, a total of 4,667 servings of cereal were donated.

AKRON - Average retail gasoline prices in Akron have risen 14.5 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $2.28/g yesterday, according to GasBuddy's daily survey of 372 gas outlets in Akron. This compares with the national average that has increased 2.1 cents per gallon in the last week to $2.35/g, according to gasoline price website GasBuddy.com.
